Hello Paw Parents!

I'm Kaycee, owner and trainer at Paws for Applause LLC. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I began my animal career working with horses for over a decade before transitioning to canine companions. I chose this new career path because I wanted to give my own dogs a better, more fulfilling life. That experience fueled a desire to help others do the same for their furry friends.

I started my career with board and train clients through a company that sparked my passion before launching my own company. Since then, I have worked with dogs of all ages, from puppies 3 months old to senior dogs, and of all different breeds, from French Bulldogs to Great Danes. I have helped dogs with different behavioral issues, including anxiety, fear and over excitement, overcome these concerns by building their confidence, learning coping skills and relaxation strategies, as well as help owners learn how to reinforce positive behavior.

I am fueled by a passion for understanding canine behavior, as well as building confidence and trust for a happy owner-dog relationship. I consider myself a "furever student," continuously striving to build upon my knowledge of canine psychology and behavior. I also pride myself on staying up-to-date on different training techniques to ensure that every dog and owner gets the training that is best suited for them.

If you are struggling with dog disobedience, anxiety, destructive behavior or any other issues, or just need a helping hand creating a better bond with your K9 companion, I would love the opportunity to help you achieve your goals!

The Paws for Applause Story...

Paws for Applause LLC began as a dream to help improve the bonds between dogs and their owners. Our priority is that you and your dogs come first. We focus on your dog's health and well-being, which is why Paws for Applause LLC is run out of our home.

When we first began, we wanted to challenge the way other companies train dogs by putting more of an emphasis on owner education. We believe it is important for owners to have a basic understanding of canine communication, and know how to work with your dog, not against its natural instincts, to be successful. While any dog trainer can give you and your dog a solid foundation, unless you know how to implement the training at home, they will eventually resort back to where they were before training. This is why we teach you how to set boundaries, how to help your dog through stressful situations, and how to settle down in high distraction environments.

Additionally, large kennels and boarding facilities can be stressful for some dogs. By having our board and train programs at our house, which is home to three well-behaved dogs, we can focus on training and building confidence before putting your dog or puppy in more stressful, higher distraction situations. This also allows us to give more one-on-one attention to your K9 companion.

If you not only want to have a well-behaved dog but also learn how to be the leader that your furry friend deserves, go ahead and check out our services and fill out a contact form. We would love to meet with you and create a customized dog training plan to help you achieve your goals!
